Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen management, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that we deliver exceptional cuisine to our guests.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct and manage a team of chefs and cooks to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.
- Develop and implement menu planning and inventory control systems to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing measures to optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant, including supply chain management and staff training.
- Recruit, train, and develop new staff members to ensure continuity and growth within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, incorporating new ideas and techniques into kitchen operations.
Key Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
- Proven track record of successful kitchen management, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Degree in culinary arts or related field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
