System Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced System Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the infrastructure and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly. You will work closely with other teams to resolve any performance issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor server parameters such as CPU, Memory, Hard disk size, Log size and other vital system metrics on a regular schedule.
  • Report any performance issues that exceed thresholds to the appropriate teams for prompt resolution.
  • Verify the successful completion of scheduled tasks on the system and rerun them if necessary.
  • Document and report any technical errors encountered to the L2/L3 teams for resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with new items/tickets by monitoring email, Teams channels, and ticketing systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and update tickets with relevant initial responses.
  • Gather additional details from business/end-user teams or other stakeholders as required for issue resolution.
  • Reproduce issues in a testing environment and provide input to the L2 team for troubleshooting.
  • Validate issue fixes in the internal testing environment based on customer inputs.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles with a strong background in system operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing either application or infrastructure support at the L1 level.
  • Prior experience with SailPoint or IAM system support is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond to customers within defined SLA.
  • Proven ability to handle customer-related queries on system functionality and provide necessary support.
  • Experience in conducting customer-issue-based validation.
  • Strong technical background in Java, scripting, and/or related technologies.
