Senior Web Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled web developer with 3-4 years of experience in WordPress and PHP development. The ideal candidate must have excellent technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

The role involves developing, customizing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable web solutions using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. We are looking for someone who is passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code, and has a solid understanding of database design, optimization, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Build dynamic and responsive websites using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
  • Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure robust, secure, and high-quality applications.
  • Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Follow best coding practices, maintain code quality, and adhere to project timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Skills:

  • 3-4 years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.
  • Expertise in custom theme and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and familiarity with frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (optional but preferred).
  • Solid understanding of MySQL database design, optimization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and other third-party services.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows in distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, security standards, and website performance optimization.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
