Technical Services Manager Role

As a Technical Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive technical support across various segments within the Polymer business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert formulation support to drive customer solutions and sales.
  • Develop and adapt formulations for local market requirements by understanding market needs and bridging them with internal functions.
  • Conduct technical training for customers, distributors, and internal teams on polymer technologies.
  • Perform competitive analysis and recommend strategies to stay ahead of competitors.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and internal standards, maintaining lab operations efficiently and upholding EHS and ISO requirements.
  • Support customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting, providing prompt, practical solutions.
  • Maintain lab equipment, calibrate instruments, and document results to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Participate in field trials and on-site customer visits as needed to gather insights and build relationships.
  • Contribute to technical papers, exhibitions, and industry seminars, sharing expertise and staying updated on the latest trends.

Job Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • At least 8 years of formulation experience in Polymer dispersions/coatings with at least 2 years in a supervisory/people leadership role.
  • Sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to provide prompt, practical solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
