Job Overview

A seasoned professional is required to lead a team of tax experts in preparing and reviewing complex financial services client returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Return Preparation and Review: Oversee the preparation and detailed review of complex Financial Services client returns, primarily for Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Fund of Funds, blocker corporation returns and S-Corporation returns prepared by staff/senior.
  2. State Returns Review: Conduct a thorough review of State returns for the financial services clients.
  3. International Filing Requirements: Identify international filing requirements by studying organizational charts and reviewing international tax returns.
  4. Team Training and Supervision: Train existing/new joiners on concepts, technology, and provide timely feedback for each project reviewed. Supervise kick-off calls to understand the client, maintain regular connections with US counterparts by teams, and intervene in budget conflicts, resource scheduling conflicts, etc.
  5. Guidance and Mentoring: Guide Staff/Senior on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes, e-filing validations. Recruitments, training, performance evaluation, mentoring team members.
  6. Quality Control: Regularly connect with US counterparts to ensure adherence to timelines and high-quality results through consistent learning.
  7. Organizational Goals: Enable the team to achieve organizational objectives.
  8. Training Development: Facilitate trainings and assist in developing training materials for technical topics.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), IRS Enrolled Agent.
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns.
  • Knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware.
  • Relevant experience of more than 5+ years with major experience in Financial Services Returns.
