Lead Tour Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to oversee our tour operations in South Asia.

  • This role involves hiring, training, and driving performance of trip leaders who lead senior Americans on land tours in South India and Sri Lanka.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to staff all departures with high-performing trip leaders.
  • Leading trip leader meetings and training in an office environment and on-road simulations.
  • Assigning trip leaders based on past performance and company needs.
  • Managing administrative duties while on the road and in office.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in hiring, training, coaching, and managing individual and team performances (travel sector is an advantage).
  • A strong and engaging leader who is flexible, analytical, creative, independent, and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of South India and Sri Lanka.
  • Proven ability to motivate people while building relationships based on trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
  • General administrative skills including working knowledge with databases and Microsoft Office- Word & Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presentation.
