About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PR and Social Media Manager to lead our PR, social media, and content creation efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly scaling business at an exciting period in our journey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance the Defaqto brand presence. This will involve collaborating with our external PR agency, managing the agency, and monitoring and reporting on coverage.

The ideal candidate will have excellent external agency management experience, proficiency in social media platforms, CMS, and analytical tools, and strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute PR strategies and activities that align with our business goals.
  • Manage the external PR agency, including reviewing and refining PR materials.
  • Monitor and report on coverage, providing guidance to the agency around key messaging, internal initiatives, and communication opportunities.
  • Assist the CMO in managing potential PR crises, coordinating with the PR agency to craft appropriate responses.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with PR campaigns, brand, and product initiatives.
  • Lead the hands-on content production process, working closely with our internal Insights team and in-house graphic designer to create high-quality visual and written content.
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of all assets and that all content aligns with our brand guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product development, competitor messaging, and customer challenges.

Requirements

  • Excellent external agency management experience.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, CMS, and analytical tools.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Planning and project management skills.
  • Positive, entrepreneurial approach.
