QA Manager / Proofreader

This role involves meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in quality assurance.

  • Collaborate with a QC lead and proofreader as part of a team.
  • Thoroughly review print materials before production to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain grammatical precision and consistency across all copy.
  • Verify the inclusion and referencing of legal terms and conditions.
  • Confirm proper use of trademarks, symbols, logos, and addresses.
  • Extend quality control to video, social, and digital assets.
  • Establish and maintain quality procedures and standards.
  • Implement quality control gateways for consistent creative output.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve our creative teams' performance.
  • Stay current with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed records in our systems of quality checks and approvals.

We seek an individual with:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in design, typography, and layout.
  • A strong understanding of print production processes.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Solid skills in colour management.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing abilities.
  • An in-depth understanding of brand guidelines and their application.
  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising legal requirements.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to all areas and members.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making abilities.
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to work well with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities.
