Scientific Graphic Design Career Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Scientific Graphic Designer to join our team of experts in scientific content creation and design.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science, excellent design skills, and the ability to communicate complex research into engaging visuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create impactful graphical abstracts that distill the essence of scientific studies
  • Review scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts
  • Develop storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with scientific content and client objectives
  • Design rough sketches to illustrate initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize visual representations

Requirements:

  • A graduate or PhD degree in STEM fields, especially Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating complex research into visually engaging output
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Creativity in 3D designs using Blender is an added advantage
  • Experience in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstracts
  • An understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape
