PostgreSQL Data Engineering Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL data engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Postgres SQL, data modeling, and semi-structured data handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced database solutions using Postgres SQL, including CTEs, window functions, indexing, and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain complex data models, utilizing star schema and facts & dimensions.
  • Work with semi-structured data, leveraging json/jsonb in Postgres.
  • Collaborate with the ETL/ELT team to ensure seamless data integration using Airbyte.
  • Prepare high-quality data for visualization in Tableau, ensuring efficient data retrieval and dashboard performance.
  • Implement robust data validation, QA checks, and troubleshooting measures to guarantee data integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Postgres SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, including star schema and facts & dimensions.
  • Familiarity with semi-structured data handling, particularly json/jsonb in Postgres.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools, such as Airbyte.
  • Proficiency in preparing data for dashboards, ideally using Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
