Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Optimization Specialist

This is a specialized role within the engineering department, requiring an in-depth understanding of structural mechanical analysis and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy advanced simulation workflows for optimization and automation processing, post-processing, and report generation tasks of FEA performed using ANSYS.
  • Create and maintain metamodeling-based calculation tools as standalone applications or integrated into Excel and SolidWorks via add-ins.
  • Evaluate and contribute to the optimization plan for structural simulation analysis and execute the plan.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring alignment of simulation, optimization, and automation plan execution.
Structural Simulation Expertise

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of structural mechanical analysis and will perform advanced simulations on pressure vessels, rotating equipment, structural frames, and components, ensuring compliance with ASME, API, and ISO standards.

  • Lead mechanical simulations, including dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analysis.
  • Validate simulation results against experimental data or field feedback.
  • Drive parametric design optimization studies, Design of Experiments.
  • Support lead design verification, failure analysis, and product development, including product design improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical simulation, optimization, and automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural mechanical analysis, ANSYS, and metamodeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
