We're looking for a skilled Mathematician to join our team in a research role.

This position involves testing the reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs) and creating math problems to analyze model responses. The goal is to measure how well these models handle abstract thinking and structured problem-solving.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating mathematical problems that challenge LLMs
  • Analyzing model responses and identifying gaps in logic or understanding
  • Collaborating with experts worldwide to refine AI models

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Postdoctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Strong research and analytical skills are essential, as well as the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback with examples.

A strong written communication skillset, especially in remote settings, is also required. Comfortable working independently and having stable computer and internet access are must-haves.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a Ph.D. or Postdoctoral in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Able to provide clear, constructive feedback with examples
  • Strong written communication, especially in remote settings
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Stable computer and internet access

This is a remote work opportunity with flexible hours. The expected time commitment is at least 4 hours per day and a minimum of 20 hours per week, with overlap with PST. Engagement type is contractor assignment/freelancer, and the duration of the contract is one month.
