Job Description

A highly skilled Data Center Network Engineer is required to support the design, deployment and management of advanced data center networking solutions. This role involves ensuring network resiliency, scalability and efficiency in complex environments through automation and modern data center practices.

Key Responsibilities include designing, deploying and managing advanced data center networking solutions built on Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS), configuring and troubleshooting Cisco data center technologies including Virtual Port Channel (vPC) for high availability, Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV) for Layer 2 extension and FabricPath for scalable and resilient Layer 2 networking.

Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure continuous availability, security and performance of data center infrastructure, perform capacity planning, proactive monitoring and performance optimization, leverage automation and scripting to streamline operations and enhance operational consistency and actively contribute to incident management and change control processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS), in-depth knowledge of vPC, OTV and FabricPath technologies, solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols and data center topologies, proficiency in Python scripting or equivalent programming and CCIE Data Center certification or extensive real-world experience.

  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS)
  • In-depth knowledge of vPC, OTV and FabricPath technologies
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols and data center topologies
  • Proficiency in Python scripting or equivalent programming
  • CCIE Data Center certification or extensive real-world experience
