Job Title: Cloud Network Architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Architect to lead our cloud network infrastructure team. As a key member of our technical operations department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud network architecture.

Responsibilities:

  1. Architect and design cloud network infrastructure, including physical and software-defined networking (SDN) components.
  2. Ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
  3. Maintain and update infrastructure documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests.
  5. Oversee a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship, evaluating team members' performance, and providing feedback to the team and HR.
  6. Monitor and analyze key performance and capacity metrics, assessing risks, business impact, and providing recommendations.
  7. Develop and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
  8. Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities, including proof-of-concept exercises.

Requirements:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data center networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet firewalls, load balancers, etc.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies (Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC-based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN, etc.), security technologies (firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies), switching (VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q), QoS, network monitoring protocols & tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Zabbix, PRTG, etc.), and good knowledge of SDN technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems, highly motivated individual who is a self-starter, demonstrates effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance, motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies, and experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
