Job Title: Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

Description:

This role involves working with large-scale distributed systems, leveraging expertise in cloud computing and software engineering to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:
  1. Distributed System Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Ray and its applications in real-world scenarios.
  2. System Administration: Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all aspects of production and non-production environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  3. Automation and Orchestration: Design and implement automated deployment and orchestration of services into cloud environments, streamlining routine processes.
  4. Cloud Environment Management: Work with multiple cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, optimizing resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  5. Capacity Planning and Testing: Participate actively in capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises, ensuring seamless system operation.
  6. Team Collaboration: Interact with and support partner teams, including Engineering, QA, and program management, fostering strong cross-functional relationships.
  7. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot customer concerns for ML Tuning and inference endpoints on Ray, providing timely and effective solutions.
  8. API and Service Development: Design and implement RESTful/RPC APIs and services using Go or Python, enhancing system functionality.
  9. SLO/SLI and Error Budget Reporting: Implement service-level objectives, error budgets, and reporting mechanisms for various customers, driving data-driven decision making.
