Airport Logistics Specialist Role

Job Overview:

  • To manage and coordinate airport operations effectively, a graduate in any field with relevant travel experience and IATA Certification or Diploma in Travel and Tourism is required.
  • Familiarity with the airline industry and prior work experience in airport systems and applications for crew, ground staff, departure control, turn-around, baggage, and loading are essential.
  • An understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and supported DCS systems for reservations, passenger check-ins & boarding, baggage check-in, load management is necessary.
  • Experience in supporting crew systems for scheduling, tracking, and ensuring efficient utilization of crew resources as well as baggage systems like monitoring and operating automated baggage handling systems is preferred.
  • A knowledge of creating flight load sheets, baggage reports, Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), and reporting incidents/problems using incident management & problem management tools is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Availability to work in 24 x 7 shifts and good communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and other standard desktop applications along with analytical research skills is necessary.
  • Good troubleshooting and coordination skills along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are required.
  • Achieving stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is expected.
