BIS Consultant Role Description

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through the ISI Mark Scheme under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This consultant will be responsible for assisting clients, particularly manufacturers and importers of products, in ensuring compliance with BIS standards.

  • Provide comprehensive guidance on BIS Certification requirements.
  • Assist clients in identifying applicable BIS standards and categories for their products.
  • Facilitate the preparation and submission of the BIS application and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and obtain necessary test reports.
  • Ensure products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between clients and BIS officials to expedite the certification process.
  • Track and monitor the status of applications, ensuring timely follow-up and approval.
  • Advise clients on testing and post-certification compliance.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients in maintaining compliance, managing renewals, and addressing regulatory concerns.
  • Stay updated with changes in BIS regulations, especially for products under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.

Key qualifications include:

  • BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 0-2 years of working experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.
  • Knowledge of BIS portal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
