Electrical Installation Specialist

Protec Fire Detection PLC is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their team as a Small Works Engineer. This role is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems on client premises.
Key Responsibilities- Install and commission Fire Alarm systems, including new installations and additions to existing systems.
- Maintain a working knowledge of electrical circuits and measuring devices, and undertake training courses as necessary.
- Install cable management systems, such as tray and trunking.
- Work within all Health and Safety guidelines, both site and company specific, to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Ensure a clean working environment and respect clients' premises at all times.
- Act as a Company Ambassador, demonstrating a smart appearance, pleasant attitude, and diplomatic communication skills to strengthen customer relationships.
- Use hand and powered tools safely and appropriately when required.
- Perform other duties commensurate with your position.
Candidates must demonstrate the necessary qualifications, experience, skills, and traits to meet the requirements outlined below. The application form and interview process will assess these requirements.
Qualifications- A full electrical based qualification, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, ONC, or HNC.
- Experience working within the Fire Alarm sector.
- A working knowledge of electrical circuits and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Competent using technology, such as laptops, measuring devices, and smartphones.
- Able to maintain accurate records and submit customer and company paperwork in a timely manner.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the company.
- A genuine interest in your work, with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- A full, valid driving license.
