At the forefront of ensuring software excellence, this key role plays a pivotal part in maintaining quality and reliability through strategic test automation, leadership, and effective collaboration with development and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of skilled professionals to foster a collaborative high-performance culture.
  • Test Automation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy for the organization. Identify opportunities for automation and guide the team in selecting suitable tools and frameworks.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Design thorough test plans and strategies for different phases of the software development lifecycle. Oversee the execution of test plans to ensure complete coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment: Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Ensure automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD process for early detection of issues.
  • Tool and Technology Selection: Evaluate and select testing tools and technologies to enhance the testing process. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in testing tools.
  • Performance Testing: Oversee the planning and execution of performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability of software applications.
  • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics. Provide regular reports on test execution, defect rates, and overall product quality.
  • Collaboration with Development and DevOps Teams: Collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless testing processes. Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek an experienced leader who possesses excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and expertise in various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is necessary, along with experience working in agile environments.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering with 13-17 years of experience, preferably in product companies. Strong understanding of web services and distributed systems, hands-on coding experience in Java/JavaScript and SQL, and proven knowledge of gray box and black box testing techniques are required.
