Job Title

As a Senior Director of Product Design, you will lead the design team and be responsible for shaping the company's design strategy.

  • Design Strategy - Develop a holistic design vision for our products, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across internal and external applications.
  • Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer-Facing Influence - Engage in early client discussions to shape design strategy, translating needs into actionable insights.
  • Design Operations - Establish and streamline design operations to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
  • User Advocacy - Advocate for the user through research, testing, and feedback, ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent relationship management skills working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design concepts and strategies to a variety of audiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
