Finance Specialist - Insurance Domain

We are seeking a skilled Finance Specialist to support a large-scale transformation programme in the insurance domain.

The role will focus on validating end-to-end financial processes, including penny testing, subledger reconciliation, and cash lifecycle testing.

Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with industry standards throughout the programme.

  • Develop and execute test cases for finance processes, including pennies, subledgers, and general ledger reconciliations, bank statements matching, and treasury payments.
  • Test integrations between policy administration systems, claims systems, and the finance subledger to ensure end-to-end process accuracy.
  • Validate IFRS/UK GAAP postings and confirm accounting rules are correctly applied for premiums, claims, and reinsurance.
  • Perform data validation for high-volume insurance transactions and ensure data integrity across multiple source systems.
  • Log, track, and retest defects in issue tracking systems, collaborating with IT and finance teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Support business users during User Acceptance Testing by providing guidance, preparing test evidence, and facilitating issue resolution.
