About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US GAAP principles by processing transactions, preparing journal entries, and coding vendor invoices.
  • Effectively manage the accounting inbox to ensure timely response to inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports from the payroll provider, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Process and record cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze general ledger data to identify trends, prepare variance reports, and provide insights for management decision-making.
  • Support tax preparation and audit processes, maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve business objectives, share knowledge, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced accountant with a degree in Commerce or a related field, preferably with 2-3 years of experience in public accounting. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is highly preferred.

Required Skills

A successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

We value candidates who are self-motivated, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar systems is a plus.
