Job Title: Journalism Leadership Position

About the Role:

Seeking an experienced academic professional to lead and elevate journalism programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions across core areas of journalism.
  • Curriculum Design: Lead curriculum design, academic planning, and content development to align with industry standards and benchmarks.
  • Mentorship: Mentor students in research, dissertation work, internships, and media projects.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate student performance through structured assessments, presentations, and practical output.
  • Departmental Strategy: Contribute to departmental strategy, policy-making, and quality assurance processes.
  • Faculty Development: Guide and mentor junior faculty members, fostering academic collaboration and growth.
  • Representation: Represent institutions in conferences, seminars, and industry events, building visibility and partnerships.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with latest developments, technologies, and pedagogical methods in journalism.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: Ph.D. in Journalism or relevant field (mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of teaching experience at university/college level, preferably in reputed institutions.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven expertise in at least two major domains such as Digital Media, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or Media Research.
  • Academic Record: Strong academic record with publications or contributions to conferences and journals.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior Industry Experience: Prior industry experience in media/journalism will be an added advantage.
