Vertex Tax System Specialist

We are seeking a skilled specialist to join our team in providing exceptional support for the Vertex Tax System.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise in indirect taxation to ensure accurate tax calculations and determinations across various jurisdictions.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of Vertex Tax Calculation Rules, Tax Jurisdictions, and Product Taxability Assignments will be key responsibilities.

You will collaborate with internal systems and ERP integrations (e.g., Oracle Fusion) to guarantee seamless operation and accuracy.

Achieving excellence in tax rates, exemptions, and determinations is crucial, as well as managing Tax Configuration, Tax Categories, and Exemption Certificates within Vertex.

The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address tax reporting and compliance, including generating reports for tax filing and audit purposes.

Additionally, you will handle tax accruals and reconciliations to ensure General Ledger accuracy and provide timely solutions to users.

Your documentation skills will be essential in recording resolution steps and knowledge base articles.

Supporting system upgrades and patches, as well as monitoring system performance and recommending improvements, are also critical aspects of this role.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field and relevant experience are required for this position.
