Embedded Boot Firmware Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Embedded Boot Firmware Architect to spearhead the development of high-performance bootloader and BootROM firmware for ARM-based platforms. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in secure boot architectures, hardware bring-up, and ARMv8 architecture.

  1. In this pivotal role, you will design, architect, and optimize bootloader and BootROM firmware for various ARM Cortex-M/R/A based platforms.
  2. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and specifications for bootloader and BootROM firmware.
  3. The successful candidate will lead the development and maintenance of secure and measured boot mechanisms, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, FIPS, and NIST.
  4. You will be responsible for implementing Secure Boot, TrustZone configurations, fusing, and secure key management for hardware root-of-trust.
  5. Key responsibilities also include designing and validating low-level hardware initialization (clocks, DDR, Flash, eMMC, NAND/NOR, PCIe) and bring-up flows.
  6. A strong understanding of hardware specs, silicon bring-up, MMU/MPU configuration, and secure execution environments is essential for this position.
  7. Familiarity with automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and RTOS or bare-metal development is highly desirable.
  8. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work across cross-functional teams (hardware, silicon, software, security) and possess excellent problem-solving skills in hardware/software co-debugging environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 12–15 years of experience in embedded firmware/bootloader development with deep expertise in ARMv8 architectures.
