Senior Mandarin Language Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Mandarin Language Consultant. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, speaking) and English, with a strong background in software development concepts.

About the Role
  • Provide expert-level Chinese language expertise (Mandarin) for translation, interpretation, and review of technical/business documents.
  • Assist in communication and collaboration between software developers and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless understanding and execution of project objectives.
  • Support requirement gathering, documentation, and validation activities in Chinese and English, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Offer insights into local context and nuances to guarantee deliverables meet client expectations.
  • If technically capable, assist in reviewing technical documents, user flows, or specifications, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Key Qualifications
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and proficient in English.
  • Prior experience in translation, business analysis, or support roles, preferably with a focus on software development.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), tools, or IT projects is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Availability during morning IST hours on weekdays is required.

This is a part-time contractual opportunity, best suited for professionals who can dedicate weekday morning hours (IST). Compensation is paid on an hourly basis.
