Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communications & Narrative Development: Develop compelling communication strategies and narratives for political, policy, and election campaigns.
  • Digital Strategy & Advertising: Oversee digital advertising strategy and execution, using analytics to optimize performance and ROI.
  • Content Ideation & Oversight: Build and lead a team of creators to produce engaging content, including Shorts and long-form videos.
  • Channel Growth & SEO: Drive subscriber growth and viewership by optimizing videos for the YouTube algorithm and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Audience Analytics: Analyze audience retention, traffic sources, and demographics to inform future content decisions.
  • Content Innovation: Stay ahead of YouTube trends, experiment with new formats, and analyze competitor channels.
  • Creator Collaborations: Identify and build relationships with relevant YouTube creators to collaborate on projects and expand reach.
  • Crisis Communication Preparedness: Develop and support crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring timely and effective response management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external agencies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Political Acumen: Deep understanding of Indian politics, history, socio-economic issues, and current affairs.
  • Professional Experience: 8-10 years in communications, video production, or channel management, ideally in media, PR/communications agency, public affairs, or a political/advocacy setting, with demonstrable success in growing and managing a significant YouTube channel. A Master's degree in a related field is beneficial.
  • YouTube Expertise: Proficiency in all aspects of YouTube, including the algorithm, content strategy, and SEO.
  • Video Storytelling: Strong ability to craft compelling political narratives for video, from scripting to final editing. Experience in news reporting or documentary production is advantageous.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing video production workflows, creative teams, and project timelines.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments with a proactive, hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for diverse audiences. Excellent English and Hindi written and verbal skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with Analytics Tools: Understanding of YouTube Studio is mandatory.
