Job Title: Reliability Engineer for Financial Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team and ensure the stability, scalability, and operational excellence of financial applications and data services.

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in building automation, implementing monitoring, improving incident response, and championing DevOps practices to enable Finance and Accounting systems to operate with consistency and trustworthiness.

  • Ensure financial platforms meet defined service level agreements (SLAs) for performance, reliability, and uptime.
  • Build automation for deployments, monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for accounting applications and data pipelines.
  • Lead and participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence of production issues.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and compliance controls in financial systems.
  • Partner with software engineers, data engineers, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure operational needs are met from development through production.
  • Ensure financial applications and data pipelines meet audit, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Drive post-incident reviews, implement lessons learned, and proactively identify opportunities to improve system resilience.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, 3-5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Production Engineering, and strong experience with monitoring/observability tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal Skills:

Ambitious candidates will have hands-on expertise with automation frameworks and IaC tools, familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, and financial system integrations, and proven ability to manage incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
