Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high availability architectures with failover and recovery mechanisms, ensuring seamless system operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Develop capacity planning models and work with stakeholders to forecast future scalability requirements, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks.
  • Establish and document performance baselines, thresholds, and SLAs for critical applications, enabling data-driven decision-making and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Implement system reliability and chaos engineering to proactively identify and mitigate potential system vulnerabilities, maintaining a robust and secure infrastructure.
  • Understand and define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-9 years of experience in site reliability engineering, with a strong track record of success and continuous learning.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and microservices architecture, enabling effective design and deployment of scalable solutions.
  • Experience with load testing tools (Jmeter/LoadRunner) and APM tools (Dynatrace/New Relic), providing actionable insights and optimizing application performance.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools (Splunk/AppD/Prometheus/Fluentd/ELK/TIG), facilitating real-time visibility and issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and business presentation skills, effectively collaborating with stakeholders and conveying complex technical information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software engineering and development skills (.NET/Go/Python/C++/Ruby/Java/Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Spinnaker), enabling adaptability and versatility in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and automation across applications/services and infrastructure management, further enhancing scalability and efficiency.
