Job Summary

The quantity surveyor plays a pivotal role in managing project costs and ensuring alignment with design requirements.

  • Study project scope to validate design specifications.
  • Validate technical specifications from the design team.
  • Optimize specifications without compromising client needs.
  • Verify bill of quantities (BOQs) and backup workings.
  • Present BOQs and solutions to management for approval.
  • Review and check return authorization (RA) bills and final bills.
  • Prepare amendments as required.
  • Analyze budget costs using benchmark cost matrices.
  • Submit alternative budget options considering different design solutions.
  • Explore new products and obtain approvals.
  • Propose optimization options for budgets.
  • Ensure timely completion of budget requirements without delays.

Key Responsibilities:

As a quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for studying project scope, validating design specifications, optimizing specifications, verifying BOQs, presenting BOQs and solutions to management, reviewing RA bills, preparing amendments, analyzing budget costs, submitting alternative budget options, exploring new products, proposing optimization options, and ensuring timely completion of budget requirements.
