Mobile Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Mobile Engineering Lead. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise in mobile software development, with a focus on Android.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of engineers and contribute to the development of innovative mobile products. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in engineering and delivering software products, with a proven track record of identifying and implementing opportunities to enable engineers to develop more productively and with high quality.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Android development, with a strong understanding of Kotlin, Gradle, Design Pattern, Jetpack Compose for mobile development, Kotlin Flow, Declarative UI, Reactive Programming, Unit and UI Testing.

  • Develop and maintain software products in Smart Channels entire technology stack.
  • Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle.
  • Advocate and advance modern software development practices within the mobile engineering community.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with other engineers, architects, agile coaches, and other stakeholders to understand and drive the Smart Channels software products.
  • Working closely with teams, product owners, agile coaches, and other stakeholders to ensure we deliver world-class tools and capabilities for our engineering community.
  • Actively participating in the Engineering Discipline and associated communities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Solid experience on engineering and delivering software products.
  • Proven hands-on experience on Android development.
  • Sound knowledge of Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Sound knowledge of Gradle, Design Pattern, Jetpack Compose for mobile development, Kotlin Flow, Declarative UI, Reactive Programming, Unit and UI Testing.

Apart from technical skills, we are looking for someone who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex ideas simply, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
