As a key member of our WW Statutory Team, you will play a crucial role in preparing financial statements and ensuring direct tax compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with tax teams, financial operations, and tax outsource vendors to drive business success.

The Opportunity:

As a Statutory Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing annual statutory balance sheet reviews and quarterly profit and loss analytical reviews, including reconciliation of management vs. statutory accounting.
  • Providing executive summaries on financial statements to directors.
  • Managing internal financial controls, interpreting accounting policies, and procedures to facilitate internal financial control.
  • Participating in the preparation of annual financial statements and applicable notes in accordance with local GAAP.
  • Supporting tax compliance, including finalization of tax provisions, transfer pricing, and filing tax returns in consultation with tax teams and outsource vendors.
  • Ensuring compliance with various statutes and control parameters, identifying risks, and addressing them with mitigating controls.
  • Experience in SOX controls and reporting.

What it Takes:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 6+ years of post-qualification experience in a good MNC or large reputed Indian business house.
  • Exposure to IFRS and M&A is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and business application skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse teams, and minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with a strong accounting, compliance, and controls focus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Capability to multitask and provide timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Ready to work in a change management environment.
  • Superior teamwork and project management skills.
