Cost Accounting Specialist

This role plays a pivotal part in establishing robust costing systems, project margin tracking, and financial reporting frameworks. As a foundational finance position, you will support leadership in pricing, profitability analysis, and ERP readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain job-wise and vertical-wise cost sheets for accurate financial reporting
  • Track material, labor, transport, and overheads per project to optimize costs
  • Allocate shared costs across business verticals for transparent financial management
  • Create standard cost templates and monitor budget vs. actual to inform strategic decisions
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics to validate cost data and improve accuracy
  • Support ERP implementation for costing modules to streamline financial processes
  • Prepare monthly cost reports for leadership to facilitate informed decision-making
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred
  • 3–6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or rentals
  • ERP exposure, particularly in Tally Prime, is an added advantage
Essential Skills:
  • Strong grasp of cost accounting principles
  • Experience in project-based or rental-driven businesses
  • Advanced Excel and cost reporting skills
  • Understanding of logistics, inventory, and shared cost allocation
  • Hands-on, self-starter with systems-building mindset
