Senior Safety Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to lead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and Functional Safety Concept Development for advanced control systems.

  • This pivotal role requires expertise in ensuring compliance with safety standards, shaping the safety architecture of next-generation systems.
  • Candidates must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define safety goals, derive functional safety requirements, and develop robust safety concepts across the product lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement functional safety strategies to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
  • Analyze and mitigate risks associated with complex system architectures.
  • Collaborate with system architects, software developers, hardware engineers, and validation specialists to drive safety concept development.
  • Evaluate and recommend safety-critical components and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in automotive or industrial domains.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or equivalent safety standards.
  • Experience with HARA, FMEA, FTA, and safety lifecycle methods and processes.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion) and Safety Analysis tools (e.g Isograph, Medini).
