About this role

Lead our safety and environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.

  1. Safety and Compliance
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health, safety, and environment (HSE) strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with relevant Acts, regulations, standards, and permits.
Risk Assessment and Management
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
  • Analyse incidents to determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
HSE Training and Culture
  • Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance through initiatives such as audits, inspections, and benchmarking.
Liaison and Communication
  • Maintain strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in metal & mining industry.
  3. Approved Safety officer as per Odisha Factory Act.
  4. Strong knowledge of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  5. Experience in greenfield/brownfield expansion projects.
  6. Experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
