We are a dynamic digital agency seeking an experienced Technical SEO Strategist to join our team.

Job Description

As a Senior Technical SEO Strategist, you will be responsible for leading and executing seamless website migrations, improving technical SEO performance, and optimizing large-scale eCommerce websites. This role requires a deep understanding of technical SEO principles, analytics, and web performance, coupled with strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Website Migrations
    • Develop and implement comprehensive redirect strategies to ensure minimal disruption to users and search engines.
    • Plan and execute platform, domain, and URL migrations, ensuring content, URLs, metadata, and structured data are properly migrated without loss of SEO value.
  • Technical SEO Management
    • Conduct detailed technical audits to identify and resolve issues like crawl errors, duplicate content, and hreflang inconsistencies.
    • Optimize website performance, including page load speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness.
    • Implement robots directives, canonicals, sitemaps, and structured data correctly.
  • Data Collection and Analysis
    • Benchmark website performance metrics, keyword rankings, and traffic pre- and post-migration.
    • Monitor crawl stats, index status, and organic performance trends post-migration.
    • Analyze and recover lost backlinks while avoiding redirect chains.
  • Content and Linking
    • Audit and optimize internal linking structures to enhance crawl efficiency.
    • Maintain consistency in metadata, headings, and content during migrations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with developers, designers, and content teams to implement SEO recommendations.
    • Provide technical guidance and set timelines to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
    Requirements:
    • Proven experience in technical SEO, including website migrations for large-scale eCommerce websites.
    • Strong knowledge of tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, and SEO software (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush).
    • Expertise in handling redirects, robots.txt, sitemaps, canonicals, and structured data.
    • Familiarity with front-end and back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in tracking, reporting, and improving SEO performance.
    • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    Salary Range:

$90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location:

This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in UK Time Zone.
