Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. This is a key role in the success of our organization, and we are looking for someone with expertise in database development and administration.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience working with large-scale enterprise environments, including Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble). They should be able to administer databases, ensure seamless database operations, implement robust security best practices, optimize database performance, and maintain high availability and interoperability across systems.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration: Administering Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble) databases, ensuring seamless database operations, implementing robust security best practices, and maintaining high availability and interoperability across systems.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing database performance through capacity planning and tuning.
  • Backup and Recovery: Designing and implementing effective backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Reporting and Mirroring: Implementing reporting and mirroring solutions for data insights.
Desirable Skills:
  • Database Design: Detailed understanding of database design and data modeling principles.
  • ETL/BI Integration: Experience integrating IRIS with ETL/BI software for enhanced data analysis.
  • Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow and release management tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Azure and Agile methodologies.
