Senior Garment Production SpecialistSamshek is a leading technology-driven fashion startup providing clothing for women in all sizes. Leveraging our patented manufacturing technology, we process all orders as made to order and dispatch them within 48 hours using our digital inventory system. Our team is closely knitted together and follows transparency at all levels to provide a seamless experience to our clients.This position involves leading the merchandising of a B2B team, requiring an enterprising individual with technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and the garment manufacturing process. Understanding of US sizes, fabrics, and technical composition of patterns is necessary.Responsibilities include:
  • Optimizing the buying cycle and setting up new processes to improve procurement strategy.
  • Ensuring on-time fulfillment by launching products on the designated date, involving capacity planning and production planning with operations managers, suppliers, and ensuring timely inspection.
  • Sharing detailed tech packs or specification sheets, quality standards for coordination with vendors.
  • Working with vendors for development sampling and initial costs.
  • Maintaining supplier performance, conducting regular audits, and addressing any issues or non-compliance.
  • Collaborating with clients to ensure design packages are complete and accurate.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sourcing metrics.
  • Training and mentoring team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Evaluating and analyzing new tools and technologies to automate processes and reporting.
The ideal candidate has past experience managing production or sourcing (ideally 2+ years), a Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology, exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations and processes, and technical knowledge of pattern and fit development of garments.We are looking for a digitally savvy individual adept at implementing new technologies and tools, with knowledge of advanced Excel and data visualization tools, and experience in sample development and offshore production exposure in large-sized buying offices or Export Houses.

Key Requirements:

  • Past experience in managing production or sourcing (ideally 2+ years)
  • Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology
  • Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes
  • Technical understanding of pattern and fit development of garments—knowledge of AUTO CAD would be preferred
  • Merchandise Sourcing Knowledge - Experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure
  • Digitally savvy & adept at implementing new technologies & tools
