Network Operating System (NOS) Engineering Manager Wanted

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operating System (NOS) Engineering Manager to lead the development and maintenance of our network operating system and software development kit.

This is a great opportunity for a technical leader who can guide a team of engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions and driving innovation in the networking space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers working on NOS and SDK.
  • Platform Bring-up: Oversee the bring-up of NOS on new hardware platforms, including Linux device drivers.
  • Networking Expertise: Provide technical guidance and leadership in the development and maintenance of the networking stack, including Layer 2 (L2), Layer 3 (L3) protocols, MPLS, VXLAN, QoS, and ACLs.
  • Management Interfaces: Drive the development of management interfaces using SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, REST, CLI, gNMI, and gRPC.
  • Device Support: Guide the team in developing software for Broadcom's XGS/DNX and Marvell's Innovium/Prestera family of devices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in a managerial role within a networking software or NOS development environment.
  • Protocols: Deep understanding of networking protocols (L2/L3, MPLS, VXLAN).
  • Platform Bring-up: Hands-on experience with platform bring-up and Linux device drivers.
  • Management Protocols: Familiarity with network management protocols (NETCONF/YANG, gNMI).
  • ASIC/NPU: Strong working experience with Broadcom and Marvell ASICs.
  • Programming Languages: Solid experience with C, C++, Python, and GoLang.
  • NOS Experience: Prior experience in NOS development or sustenance is essential. Experience with SONiC NOS is a significant advantage.
