Virtualization Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Virtualization Engineer to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install, maintain and operate OpenShift Virtualization environments.
  2. Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  3. Manage IT processes including incident, change and problem management.
  4. Proficiency in managing Windows Servers including patch management.
  5. Strong understanding of networking principles and practices.
  6. Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC).
  7. Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers.
  8. Deploy, operate, decommission and migrate virtual machines (V2V and P2V) and manage their lifecycle in OpenShift and VMware.
  9. Work on rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support.
  10. Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations and processes.
  11. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT.
  • Strong understanding of OpenShift and virtualization concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
