Fire Protection Designer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in REVIT to produce BIM models and construction drawings for mechanical (MEP) services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial or commercial fire protection design and possess excellent coordination skills, a meticulous approach to work, and the ability to produce accurate, clash-free designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Modeling & Drawing Production: Create BIM models for fire protection services using REVIT MEP. Develop a variety of 2D construction deliverables, including sprinkler layouts, fire alarm layouts, piping layouts, and isometric drawings.
  • Coordination: Work closely with other disciplines to ensure assigned work is coordinated and results in a clash-free design.
  • Technical Drawing: Produce detailed drawings such as general arrangement drawings for equipment rooms, plumbing drawings, riser diagrams, and equipment schedules.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI/NCTVT - Mechanical Draftsman.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection design for industrial or commercial projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in REVIT is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with coordination tools like Navisworks.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, NFPA, International Fire Code, and others relevant to food, consumer, manufacturing, and industrial projects.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written). You must also be able to self-check your work to produce accurate deliverables.
