We are seeking a seasoned leader to head our Network Security Engineering team. As Director, Network Security Engineering, you will oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge network security solutions.

  • You will lead a talented team of engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure network security systems.
  • Your expertise in distributed systems, network security platforms, and public cloud environments will be invaluable in shaping our network security architecture.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement network security strategies that align with our business objectives.
  2. Lead research and development of new networking security solutions and platforms.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy network security controls.
  4. Mentor and guide your team to achieve excellence in their roles.
  5. Participate in Agile development environment, including daily scrums.
  6. Work closely with other engineering teams and executives to develop short- and long-term security, product, and service strategies.
  7. Cultivate relationships with industry experts, partners, internal staff, and auditors.

Requirements:

  • 17+ years of experience in industry, including 5+ years in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS software development.
  • 5+ years of experience in high-availability 24/7 environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Expertise in developing Network Security Technologies like Micro-Segmentation, Zero-Trust, Network ACLs, L4/L7 Firewall, WAF, mTLS solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience with Service Mesh, Istio, Envoy development and deployment.
  • Management experience: 10+ years of direct people management experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with SDN, NFV, network automation.
  • Terraform, Helm chart experience.
