Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for solar structure manufacturing? We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing unit's day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean production systems, team leadership, and solar mounting structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of production on the shop floor, ensuring daily targets are met.
  • Supervise and optimize job placement, workflow, and movement of components during various stages of manufacturing.
  • Design and implement layout plans for new projects including fixtures, gauges, and machinery installation.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine checklists, and breakdown logs.
  • Ensure in-process inventory management and a smooth production flow.
  • Coordinate with R&D and design teams for successful development and integration of new products or structures.
  • Monitor production costs and optimize resource usage to meet budget targets.
  • Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through lean practices and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and certifications as required for solar product manufacturing.

For this role, we require a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in solar structure manufacturing, and proficiency in production planning software, MS Excel, and ERP systems. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills are essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of solar mounting structures and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience in handling production machinery, tools, and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in production planning software, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred qualifications include exposure to renewable energy or solar projects, knowledge of CAD drawings, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles, and prior experience in setting up new production lines or greenfield manufacturing units.
