Job Summary

Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our laundry facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of laundry services, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and employee training.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete thorough inventories of uniforms and linens to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular audits of laundry supplies to prevent shortages and optimize resource allocation.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to management in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for employees on laundry procedures, including safety protocols and equipment operation.
  • Verify that laundry requests are fulfilled promptly and efficiently for each department as needed.
  • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Inspect linens and terry for damage and report any issues to management.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating of employees to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management using clear and professional language.
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, including reports and memos.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and management to achieve common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards by identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of related work experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
