Job Description

  • Develop and standardize engineering policies across all resorts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead capital expenditure projects including renovations and new builds, focusing on strategic growth.
  • Set benchmarks and KPIs for property-level engineering teams to enhance performance.

Maintenance & Operations

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of MEP systems through regular checks and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.

Energy & Sustainability

  • Drive energy conservation initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint.
  • Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to promote eco-friendliness.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties to maintain a safe environment.
  • Conduct audits and mitigate risks proactively to prevent potential hazards.

Team Development & Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement within the team.

Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Manage annual engineering budgets effectively to optimize resource allocation.
  • Approve expenditures for maintenance and capital projects, ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering is required.
  • Advanced certifications in facility or energy management are preferred but not essential.
  • 15+ years in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities to motivate and inspire the team.
  • Expertise in building systems and CMMS tools to streamline operations.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills to resolve conflicts and make informed choices.
