Job Opportunity: Finance Business Partner/Controller

Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to join our team as a Finance Business Partner/Controller. The ideal candidate will work closely with functional leadership to drive financial excellence, improve processes, and achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and track transformation initiatives aligned with the functional strategy.
  • Support Functional Leadership to improve processes and achieve functional excellence.
  • Provide insightful and actionable financial reporting to the Functional Leadership.
  • Ensure business risks and opportunities are managed to deliver optimal financial results.
  • Initiate and participate in projects to improve functional performance.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
Functional Financial Processes:
  • Conduct functional P&L analysis and relevant B/S account management.
  • Review and monitor functional cost development (operations, one-offs, projects).
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes (month-end closing, quarterly forecast, annual budget).
  • Analyze monthly actuals vs budget, transformation initiative savings tracking.
  • Collaborate with accounting and other finance departments for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Implement and maintain robust SOX and internal controls for timely cost recognition.
Requirements:
  • A Chartered Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a B-School with relevant experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial analyst/control functions.
  • A strong interest in working in the chemical manufacturing industry with a global multi-national organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred), Business Warehouse, PowerBi.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • A flexible attitude, comfortable in demanding environments within an international context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, analytical thinking, and fact-based decision-making.
