Safety Data Scientist

The role of Safety Data Scientist is to provide expertise in data analysis and system development for GPS systems. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacovigilance processes, safety reporting, and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities- System Development and Maintenance (40%): Develop and maintain GPS-based applications for operations and processes, using standard validation principles and system development methodologies.
- Safety Reporting (30%): Support GPS and Lilly safety reporting needs through the creation of existing/ad-hoc queries and/or visualizations.
- Operational Excellence (20%): Provide support to GPS functional areas, interact with therapeutic teams, facilitate consistency of business practices, and assist with process gaps or improvement opportunities.
- Compliance (10%): Provide standard or custom validated reports for use in audits and inspections, and maintain accuracy and performance of routine reports executed by or for GPS.
- Masters/Bachelors degree within a health science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science field or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience with data, reporting, and processes/systems.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or demonstrated understanding of pharmacovigilance or clinical research.
- Demonstrated understanding of the GPS safety system and business process.
