Backend Developer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js.

This role involves collaborating with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality features.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
  • Collaborating with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality features
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
  • Optimizing application performance, security, and scalability
  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments
  • Leading technical discussions, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers
  • Staying updated with emerging technologies and proposing improvements to architecture and processes

Required Skills:

  • Professional experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Hands-on experience with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)
  • Expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven systems
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services
  • Strong knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Good to Have:

  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
  • Familiarity with Serverless (AWS Lambda, etc.)
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for full-stack contributions
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
