Lead Conversational AI Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Conversational AI Quality Assurance Engineer to spearhead our conversational AI testing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance, with expertise in manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and AI-powered applications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, developing automation frameworks using Selenium and Pytest, and ensuring seamless integration with RAG systems and vector stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Test Planning & Strategy
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for conversational AI applications, ensuring coverage of functional, UI/UX, performance, and regression testing.
  3. Define QA strategy for end-to-end testing of features, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  4. Execution & Automation
  5. Perform manual and automated testing for mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms, leveraging tools like Appium and Playwright.
  6. Design and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, ensuring high-quality output.
  7. Conduct conversational flow and response accuracy testing for Large Language Model-based chat interfaces.
  8. LLM & Conversational App Testing
  9. Evaluate dialogue quality, prompt-response relevance, tone, and fallback behaviors in GPT-like systems.
  10. Test for hallucinations, safety, toxicity, and coherence in AI outputs, validating integrations with API workflows.
  11. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  12. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and AI engineers to ensure feature clarity and testability.
  13. Provide feedback early in the development lifecycle to reduce bugs and enhance quality.
  14. Monitoring & Reporting
  15. Track and report bugs using tools like JIRA or Linear, analyzing and reporting on test results, coverage, and quality trends.
Required Qualifications:
  1. 4+ years of experience in QA for web and mobile applications, with a focus on conversational AI.
  2. Hands-on experience with both manual and automation testing tools and frameworks, including Selenium and Pytest.
  3. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types, and software development lifecycle.
  4. Automation testing using Pytests and familiarity with vector databases and conversational testing tools.
  5. Experience testing LLM-based or NLP-powered applications, with proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with Postman for API testing.
