The role of a Data Architect involves designing and implementing data management systems to support the company's business objectives. This includes assessing existing relational data models, identifying dependencies and shared schemas, and defining target-state logical and physical data models aligned with microservices and bounded context principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and document existing relational data models.">
  • Identify dependencies, shared schemas, and tightly coupled data entities across business domains.">
  • Define target-state logical and physical data models.">
  • Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns between microservices.">
  • Collaborate with application architects, integration teams, and domain owners to align data models with service boundaries.">
  • Provide guidance on data migration, transformation, and reconciliation strategies during the separation process.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data modeling.">
  • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle (PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning).">
  • 3+ years of experience designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.">
